This hymn has got to be one of the best hymns ever. Thank you Fanny Crosby for writing this, and I especially thank the God that inspired Fanny Crosby to write this hymn. :]

I was listening to the Chris Tomlin version of this song (which is a little different), and I was so reminded of how Paul talks of Christ in Hebrews.

Hebrews 6:19-20 [We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.]

Hebrews 7:23-25 [The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.]

Man, I seriously epic fail at life. Life is such a burden sometimes. I'm always worrying because things are so uncertain, and I'm trying to convince myself in some twisted way that I can do things on my own with my own will power. Because of that I get discouraged due to my utter failure. 

But oh how I am utterly WRONG! I'm so glad that it is Christ who saves to the uttermost. I'm so glad that Christ is the perfect High Priest who ever intercedes for us. I'm so glad that it is Christ who bears our burdens and leads us all the way so that I might know God and truly find joy because to find joy is to find God.

What more can I ask for? Were it not for grace, I'd be person that's totally lost and blind. I feel like a fool having ever doubted God and His tender mercy. Christ is so much better! I'm so thankful for God that he adds "surity to my certainty." I'm so glad that God constantly reminds me of Christ. :]

Praise God that it is Christ my Savior that leads me ALL THE WAY to the Father!! :D
