forgetfulness...

Dang. Why is it so easy to forget? Why is it so easy to forget that following Christ is a 24/7 ordeal? We human beings are such foolish people... One day we're all about Christ, and the next day we're just all about ourselves.

[And he said to all, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.]

Luke 12:23-24

Have I lost sight of the greatness of the gospel? Have my ears grown dull to the sweet message of salvation?

Lord, help my unbelief. Let me savor the cross and never grow dull in my senses to your goodness.
