SO AMAYJING!

Mm. I haven't posted in a while. :] I just thought this passage was awesome. :D

Deuteronomy 7:6-10
[For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the LORD set his love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but it is because the LORD loves you and is keeping the oath that he swore to your fathers, that the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the land of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,]

Well, even though Moses wrote this to address the Israelites to remind them to not forget God, I think it still shows the very character of God. It's very clear that the Israelites failed miserably [like CRAZY EPIC FAIL] all throughout the Old Testament, but God was still faithful and loving towards them. It's still the same way with us though.

It's so amazing that God just loves us, despite the fact that God knows every single thing about us, even our thoughts. It's especially mind boggling to me when I start thinking about how sinful humans can be, especially when compared to a holy God who displays His attributes all perfectly. We, on the other hand, are inherently evil compared to Him. Jeremiah says that, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?" We are like diseased, handicapped people who are fully dependent on God. Even being alive is an act of mercy from God, but our sin still separates us from truly seeing and knowing God. We think we can undermine God's authority by rebelling, but in the end, it's just doing us harm, storing up wrath for ourselves. God is still going to be who He is.

I'm so glad that God is who He is though. :] Especially because:

[For as by one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.]
Romans 5:19-21

God is so good. Even though there is no good in us, God still reconciled us to Himself through the excruciating death of His own Son. I'm seriously so amazed. Even when we are saved, how can we forget such a good God? One second we say we love God, but the next we act as if we don't know God at all. Man, I've failed so much. There are so many times where I've acted as if I didn't fear God at all, but I'm so glad that God is still who He is. Freak. He's so kind to remind me of His grace. What can I do but just put my trust in him? What can I do but just love Him? What can I do but just worship Him?

I love God, and I hope you do too. Let's love God all the more. :D

Hope you all have a nice day! :]
